            Get rid of the winter blahs FEBRUARY 11TH at Starkville Country Club.  We are planning a SOCIAL HOUR and SEAFOOD BUFFET.  We will have special drink prices from 5:30 to 6:30 pm with the buffet served from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. 

            We will have the game room open and a BABYSITTER on duty.  Hotdogs, chips, brownies and hot chocolate will be served for $3.95 per child.

            Invite guests or potential members to join you.  The menu is listed under the Sunday Buffet section of this newsletter.  We are accepting reservations for this event starting Wednesday, February 2nd.   Please note that we have limited spots available so please call at your earliest convenience.  Cost $15.95 per person

Congratulations to Russ Lyle who is the winner of the February Sunday Buffet drawing.  In order to be eligible for the drawing, you must submit your e-mail address to the Club to be added to the Club’s address book.  If you do not have an e-mail address, simply call and have your name added to the list.  If you have submitted your e-mail address but are not receiving SCC notices, please call to verify your address.  The next drawing will be held February 28.

STOCKHOLDERS’ MEETING

 

I would like to thank those of you who participated in our annual Stockholders’ meeting on January 25, 2005.  We had a quorum and Skip Lambert of Sur-Line Turf gave a great presentation on our upcoming greens renovation project.  Our 2005 Board Officers are:

Golf

The golf course is available for Members and Member’s out-of-town/county guests ONLY.  All members are required to check-in their guests in the Pro Shop. 

All Members please sign in at the Pro Shop prior to play.  Please use the 90 degree cart rule and stay on carts paths around greens and tee boxes. During inclement weather, PLEASE use your best judgement and stay out of WET AREAS.

LADIES NIGHT OUT

 

The Ladies Golf Association would like to invite all lady members to join them Thursday, February 3, 2005.  They are planning to meet the first Thursday of every month for a light meal and games.  It will start around 6:00 pm.

Greens Renovation Project:

Re-surface the ten remaining greens;

Build new putting green to be located near scoreboard;
